Summary/Abstract: Marital Diplomacy of Medieval Bulgarian RulersSashka Georgieva’s monograph examines a significant aspect of the diplomatic history of medieval Bulgaria, namely the place and role of dynastic marriages in medieval Bulgaria. Being a long-term researcher of the problems of medieval Bulgarian diplomacy, I can say that the history of dynastic marriages has accumulated separate research and contributions from Bulgarian and foreign scholars, but so far there was really no comprehensive study on the topic cleverly formulated by Sashka Georgieva as medieval Bulgarian rulers’ marital diplomacy.
