New Consumer Rights Directive in the European Union

Summary/Abstract: European Union legislation provides a high level of protection of consumer rights in the internal market. In the area of consumer protection can include the fair treatment of consumers, products that meet the required standards and the right to compensation. The new Directive on consumer rights in the European Union is applied in all Member States by 13 June 2014. The Directive harmonizes the rights of consumers in all EU countries in several important areas, with special emphasis on online shopping and e-mail as well as for the purchase share property which will certainly encourage them to expand their business across national borders.
