Summary/Abstract: National style is the ideal style of a nation, contrasting greatly with the style of mass culture. The quality press in modern Russian mass media features texts written in national style, while the yellow press is written in global supranational style. Research on the quality press demonstrates that national style has been becoming more difficult, constituting a growing trend.
