Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to the analysis of discourse by a cultural justification study of basic cognitive stereotypes. Any cognitive stereotype has ethnic and cultural specificity, which manifests itself in the reflection of the real world and one national-cultural community. This article provides a definition of the kinds of cognitive attitudes – attitudes and judgments – of this pattern, branded and marked by national interpretation of concepts. Stereotypes-judgment is a stereotyped model, an intersection of basic concepts of discourse. The theoretical and methodological models of study discourse offered in the article is confirmed by the analysis of the cognitive stereotype: “Russians are afraid in the world of sport and do not love” – one of the dominant Russian sports discourses.
