Summary/Abstract: The ability to assess one’s own effectiveness is an essential competence of futureeducators. The belief in one’s own teaching effectiveness allows for the effective implementationof educational tasks. The aim of the article was to test the sense of self-efficacy in teachingusing the Sense of Teacher Efficiency Scale (TSES). 93 students of pedagogy participated in theresearch. The research shows that second-cycle and part-time students assess their teachingeffectiveness better than first-cycle and full-time students. People with didactic practice achievehigher results in terms of self-efficacy in teaching than people with general pedagogical practice.It is recommended to develop the ability to assess one’s own effectiveness during workshopsand teaching practice.
