Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of a qualitative research with twelve professional workers in the Center for Social Work working with persons with disabilities. The aim of the research was to identify the tasks of social and other professionals in the realization of social protection of persons with disabilities in the Center for Social Work and analyze their experience in carrying out these tasks. The research results showed that in administrative centers in the Republic of Srpska in recent years, administrative activities in the realization of cash benefits of persons with disabilities have significantly increased, which has reduced the possibilities of providing social services and social work with these persons and their families in order to increase quality of life and social inclusion of these persons. It has been shown also that this way of work results in a reduction in community-level social planning that finds solutions for the specific needs of people with disabilities, develops new services and support services, and insufficiently works to mobilize communities to raise awareness and adapt to the needs of people with disabilities.
