Summary/Abstract: Gábor Tompa has directed Shakespeare’s Hamlet four times during his career, most recently at the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj. The performance was a highly expected and promoted production in the new theater season. Examining on the one hand the elements that create the contemporary world and atmosphere of the performance, Orsolya Marton’s review points out on the other hand the lack of a coherent directorial concept.
