Summary/Abstract: Cloud computing can enable banks to reuse IT resources more efficiently - whether they are purchased up - front or rented without any long term commitment. However, cloud computing is much more than simply renting servers and storage on-demand to reduce infrastructure costs. In fact, the cloud offers a host of opportunities for banks to build a more flexible, nimble and customer-centric business model that can drive profitable growth. At the same time, cloud computing raises many issues at many levels and it might constitute a real danger for users and data subjects, especially in the field of high-tech crime.
