Summary/Abstract: Animated by some European initiatives, such as the ones conceived by Fr. Frobel, some Romanian scholars from the second half of the XIXth century, were concerned with the application of some measures of educating children under school age - as they are presented in this material - which had not materialized until 1896 when the establishment of kindergartens was legalized.
