Summary/Abstract: The ties between the two national movements involved both an exchange and direct action. The Greeg intellectuals helped the improvement of the Romanian culture in many ways: by selective translations from occidental writers, the modernisation of the educational system, through the printing of various books, thus spreading the Iluminist ideas.
