Summary/Abstract: The substantiation of the research problem is determined by the need to comprehend new realities in the everyday history of the intelligentsia of Russian regions, associated with overcoming difficulties, namely, with the coronavirus pandemic and the adaptation of everyday life to it. Identification of mechanisms for adapting to a crisis situation and getting out of it contributes to minimizing risks in the reproduction of the life support system, overcoming economic destruction, and strengthening the health of the population. The aim of the work is to identify the elements of behavioral models of the population that find analogies in the traditional way of life, the characteristics of the world perception, cultural techniques associated with labor motivation and consumption, the role and place of cultural inversions. Research objectives: to show changes in representations of space and time, in labor rhythms in a pandemic; to outline the directions of mimicry, reaction to a crisis situation; to identify analogies with the reaction to life difficulties in comparison with the peasant society. Among the research methods are comparative historical constructions, “included observation”, recording and analysis of “memos”, work in the information space. Research results. Certain mechanisms of entering a crisis situation, existing in it, are identified, certain prospects for the regional intelligentsia in the post-peasant region are indicated. The specificity of the understanding of space and time in conditions of self-isolation, the algorithm for the action of motivation to observe labor discipline and the registration of the balance of consumption and ambitions are shown. In all this, cultural inversions are manifested, an appeal to the ethnocultural experience of previous generations and the peasant heritage are manifested. Findings. The characteristics of the perception of the surrounding world in a crisis situation among the intelligentsia are outlined on the example of a specific region — the Kirov region.
