Summary/Abstract: Postmodernism can be defined in terms of the indeterminacy of immanence, individualism and communication (G. Vattimo), simulation and seduction (J. Baudrilland), identity crisis (Marco Turchi), political ingovernability, the end of history (F. Fukuyama), deconstruction, multiplicity and difference (J. F. Lyotard). For Romanian area, postmodernism has a different focus: “Romanian culture‟s desertion from the traditional space and its orientation towards the North-American cultural type, today a real archetype of Postmodernism.” Postmodernism does not necessarily deny God‟s existence, but it does not intend to know Him or to discover Him. It tries to enclose God within its space and to undermine the importance of traditional religious belief. For example, the postmodern world ignores any kind of traditional moral or religious authority.
