Summary/Abstract: This text discusses the most tragic part of the Polish-Ukrainian conflict in the eastern Lublin region during the German occupation. The events took place in the south-eastern part of the Lublin district between March and June 1944. That is, the anti-Polish operations of the Ukrainian underground (OUN-B and UPA) and the “Hrubieszów Revolution” of the Polish underground (AK and BCh) in the Zamość/southern Chełm regions, which resulted in the outbreak of Polish-Ukrainian partisan war in the spring of 1944. It was ended by the arrival of the Red Army in the summer of 1944. This article presents these events as reported in the selected German documents – produced by administration, police and army.
