Summary/Abstract: The present study proposes an analysis of the concept of property in the light of its biblical roots. While today we are influenced by the mentality that goods belong to the sphere of our rights, Scripture looks at this subject from the perspective of some duties as well. Closely related to the concept of private property is that of human dignity, given that all our rights have emerged to defend our dignity. In this context, it is necessary to show that the ownership of the property comes with responsibilities. That is why we will argue that the right to private property is both a means of protection established by God and a means by which we are tried, and an expression of divine blessing.
