Summary/Abstract: A study that Søren Kierkegaard devotes to the notion of the tragic leads us to show how the question of the ego can arise correlatively to the dimension of the secret. Far from being the effect of an attempt of dissimulation, this secret dimension of the self engages a reflection on the concept of subjective truth, which is the foundation of Søren Kierkegaard's philosophy of existence.
