Summary/Abstract: Before World War II, Alfred Weber started working in the "Czeczowiczka Brothers" Factory in Andrychów. During the Nazi occupation was handed over to the Third Reich as Jewish property. In January 1945, the Nazis set fire to the factory while escaping from the invading Red Army. After the war, the authorities of the People's Republic of Poland favored the development of the cotton industry in the city, expanding the factory of "Brothers Czeczowiczka" and renaming it the Andrychów Cotton Industry Plant.The article published Alfred Weber's account of extinguishing the fire and rebuilding the factory shortly after the war.
