Summary/Abstract: Jewish secondary schools were an integral part of the Lithuanian educational system, and thus they experienced all the changes that took place during the interwar period and faced new challenges. Analysis of the development of Jewish educational institutions is sparse in Lithuanian histories, but the current period of Lithuanian independence has offered many opportunities to examine little studied aspects of the educational world of Jewish youth. Especial attention to these issues is found in the research works of Sada Petružienė and Benediktas Šetkus, and some information is also found in more general histories of the Jewish community (Solomonas Atamukas, Alfonsas Eidintas and others). An analysis of unpublished documents and a perusal of the sparse historical works currently available create the conditions for pursuing a deeper understanding. The purpose of this paper is to examine specific indicators that determine and describe the characteristics of the Lithuanian Jewish secondary school student
