Summary/Abstract: The development of bibliographic activity of Vinnytsia Regional Universal Scientific Library named after K.A. Timiryazev is investigated. The topics and dynamics of preparation and publication of bibliographic indexes are analyzed. The value of the bibliographic index in the system of reference and bibliographic activity is characterized. The period of development of the regional universal scientific library named after K.A. Timiryazev in 1966–1986, tendencies of compiling bibliographic indexes, providing information requests of users are considered. The contribution of individual bibliographers to the development of scientific and information activities is determined.
