Summary/Abstract: Author presents the explanatory filter concept formulated by intelligent design theory proponent William A. Dembski. The filter is intended to be an universal instrument for detecting design that is not only the work of human beings but also of other intelligent entities. The filter is supposed to be applicable even to such fields of natural science as biology and cosmology. Author replies also to some objections to Dembski’s concept.
