Summary/Abstract: The roles attributed to the two sexes in predominantly Muslim societies are the complex and variable culmination of the religious collective imagination resulting from the interference between the various sources of Islam, their interpretations as well as the varied culture attached to the history and the tradition of each of the countries of the Muslim world. Our approach stops on some determinations relating to the imaginary of the feminine/masculine concerning the theme of sexuality in the sources of Islam as dogma and culture and in which the sociologist Fatima Mernissi was interested in her writings.
