Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to define the importance of relational capital of family enterprises for increasing their competitiveness by presenting good practices of those family businesses in Poland, which achieve sustainable, long-term development, combining business goals with the needs of various groups of stakeholders. The author defines the relational capital and social responsibility of a family enterprise, presents its impact on the competitive position, identifies the main stakeholders of the family business, indicates the challenges facing the family business in the context of managing relationships with stakeholders, and then discusses selected actions in the field of social responsibility applied to them in practice.
