Summary/Abstract: Alexandru Marghiloman was one of the most important politicians of the Old Kingdom, famous for his wealth, for his customs considered extravagant, but also for the loyalty he had towards King Carol I. Inaddition to his political activity, Marghiloman also had a series of passions, which better reiterate this man, so incomprehensible by contemporaries and even by posterity. In his youth he played on the stage of the theater, he was the soul of the balls in the high society of Bucharest, so that, later, he became one of the largest owners of studs of thoroughbred horses and president of the Red Cross in Romania.
