Summary/Abstract: This article contains a comparative analysis between original French and English translations of Pasolini’s Ragazzi di vita first published respectively in 1958 and 1968 and new versions both published in 2016. The analysis is based on several factors, such as choices between foreignization and domestication; the way in which translators dealt with multilingualism of the source text, which combines Italian, the Romanesco dialect and the Rome’s lowlife jargon; strategies regarding semantically loaded anthroponyms.
