Summary/Abstract: The report states that Věra Kuchařová, a researcher at RILSA, has contributed to an international collective monograph that focuses on the structural opportunities and constraints that affect young people in terms of starting a family in eleven selected countries. In her chapter on the trends and conditions that influence the formation of families in the Czech Republic, Věra Kuchařová states, inter alia, that Czech society is open to various family behaviour patterns from the viewpoint of its basic legal norms and normative value settings.
