Summary/Abstract: Mass campaigns always involve mobilizing a large number of people by the political elite to achieve a goal and they are a feature of China's political and social life.When Mao Zedong was in charge of China, these mass campaigns were part of a daily life of the Chinese and they took place succesively after the proclamation of the People's Republic, on October 1 1949.
