Summary/Abstract: Krastyo Petkov looks at the different forms of ’late ethno-nationalisms’ in Bulgaria, with special respect to their economic and social roots. The topic of this article is focused on economics and social policy. In many studies and publications, these two factors have been viewed as a possible backdrop for the various nationalisms, or the connection between the two has been considered indirect and secondary.1 I will try to show that this hypothesis is inexact and incomplete – hence, inoperative – especially for Bulgarian conditions.
