Summary/Abstract: This article brings the issue of invisible domestic labour through household chores into question again and this time in light of the Covid-19 outbreak. One of the crucial points to be considered and also one of the main highlights of this article is that invisible or gendered aspect of that chores as a form of labour in the household has a long history with its patriarchal roots. In order to examine this, the article traces invisible household labour predating Covid19, then considers the objections and historical feminist struggles to invisible domestic labor by taking systems into account. In connection to this historical framework, household chores as an invisible form of domestic labour will be examined critically in detail until present day. As a result of all these contacts, the claim of this article about gendered and naturalized form in the household is as follows; “The continuity of patriarchy” is revealed.
