Summary/Abstract: Drugs are an integral part of the health system, and our health. Rational drug use improves the quality of life and contributes the better health of society. Irrational use of drugs has a significant share in health spending. This study has been conducted to determine the approaches of Ankara University Faculty of Health Sciences’ students about rational drug use. 2842 students studying in six departments in Ankara University Faculty of Health Sciences in the 2017-2018 academic years constitutes the universe of the research. The participants have been selected by stratified random sampling method. Data have been collected from 1102 volunteers. The research has been conducted by face-to-face survey method. Literature review on rational drug use and expert opinions have been used in order to create the survey. The data obtained from the study show that students have positive attitudes, but still have not known appropriate information and safe practices entirely in drug use. This study emphasizes the need to improve students' awareness and behaviour.
