Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the existence and activities of the Knights Templar in the Principality of Antioch, which was established in northern Syria after the First Crusade, and the period of domination in Baghras Castle. In this study, the arrival of the Knights Templar in the Principality of Antioch, some institutionalization attempts there and their importance in terms of the survival of the principality will be discussed. In particular, the process of domination of the Knights Templar in Baghras Castle, the most strategic military place in the region, and the value of this process in terms of both Order and Principality will be discussed. Finally, the importance of Baghras Castle in terms of the political and military power balances in the region and the mission of the Knights Templar will be reviewed. The study will be carried out in the light of the Crusader chronicles and Eastern sources and contemporary sources on the subject.
