Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to develop a valid and reliable assessment tool for dating violence suitable for Turkish culture. This research was designed according to an exploratory sequential design. The research was collected from university students between the ages of 18-30. 90 students are in the qualitative study group and 1021 students are in the quantitative study group. Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively under the themes of physical, sexual and emotional violence. Quantitative data were collected online from 1021 university students and exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, reliability and item analysis were made on the data. Analysis results showed that the scale with a five-point likert-type rating scale consisted of 28 items and four-factor. The Cronbach Alpha coefficient, Spearman Brown, Guttman Split-Half and Composite reliability coefficients were calculated for the internal consistency of the scale, and it was found to be a sufficient level. Pearson correlation was calculated and the relation between Dating Violence Scale and Intimate Partner Violence Attitude Scale-Revised was calculated as 61. The results show that the scale is a valid and reliable scale.
