Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is to try to answer the question about the strategies used by the media towards an artist struggling with addiction. The text consists of three parts. The first one explains all the most important concepts related to the chosen topic. The methodological part presents a study to check how the media celebrates the addicted artist and lists the most important elements of this process.As part of it, twenty-four articles from the Pomponik gossip website about Amy Winehouse, a British singer struggling with addictions, were analyzed. The last part of the text presents the conclusions.
