Summary/Abstract: This article is a chronicle of the edition of correspondence between the poet Ioan Alexandru and the bishop Calinic from Argeş. The two met when they were young, in Cluj, when Father Calinic was a celibate priest, and their close relationship was filled with great spiritual warmth. Ioan Alexandru’s letters are written on two convergent levels of communication: one is that of personal, heart-to-heart confessions, while the second has a profound theological character.
