Summary/Abstract: France and Turkey, two of the strongest NATO members, are divided by a lot of conflicts, arising from their different interests and historic sensitivities in the geopolitical games of the Mediterranean Sea, but also by the personal hostility between the two presidents. If the two states will be unable to normalize their relations, then Ankara would be totally blocked from a future EU integration, and its Neo-Otomanist doctrine will further strain the relations with the other NATO states.
