Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the history and content of the Court Structure Law (CSL) dated 2 January 1926 in the context of the new political situation in the country and the positions of the Bulgarian Judges Association. Special attention is given to the discrepancy between the promises of the Democratic Alliance government and their embodiment in the Law; this discrepancy being the focus of the parliamentary discussion. What is brought to the fore is the issue of introduction of irremovability of prosecutors and the political motives used by those in power for substantiating their refusal.
