Summary/Abstract: Economic criminality is one of the most complex and most discussed phenomena in the sphere of criminology. In spite of that and many symposia, seminars and campaigns, everything which is essential remained open, beginning with the notion and substance of that topic and up to phenomenological, etiological, criminal-political, legal, and practical questions, including the ones of principle. That is why there is a need for a contemporary conception of economic criminality, by beginning with the very origin of the phenomenon, as a key element. In order to make a distinction regarding similar forms of punishable acts, adequate attention is dedicated to the interpretation of essential characteristics of this type of criminality and of specific kinds of its suppression. The idea is also experessed of the need to develop thoroughly a new economic system, based on market competition and political pluralism. In such conditions the conception of such criminality would be developed along new ideas, free of ideological and other kinds of unnecessary burdens. In such an environment one could raise also a question of the kind and substance of punishable acts which should be provided for in the sphere of economy.
