Summary/Abstract: The traditions of European academic vocal performance are developing in twentieth-century Azerbaijani music. Although the great Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli created the first national opera "Leyli and Majnun" during this period, the lack of female performers created certain difficulties on the stage. Although these issues were addressed to some extent by male and non-Azerbaijani performers in the early twentieth century, the gap in this area continued until the 1920s. With the arrival of the first Azerbaijani female performers on the opera stage, a great revival began in national music. Firangiz Ahmadova, who created her first images on the opera stage in the 1950s, managed to perform the works of Western European, Russian and Azerbaijani composers with a wide range and pleasant timbre. One of the prominent representatives of Azerbaijan's musical culture, People's Artist of the USSR Firangiz Ahmadova opened a new page in the field of national opera and vocal performance, playing an important role in the development of national opera. Firangiz Ahmadova received an excellent education and managed to combine what she learned with her performance skills.
