Summary/Abstract: Violent offenses are usually situational crimes, they are committed unexpectedly, are related to specific circumstances, or are specific to certain situations. The intention to commit these crimes appears suddenly, in most cases, they are generated as a result of the consumption of alcoholic beverages and under the influence of the situation created unexpectedly. Therefore, the respective violent crimes are not planned in advance and therefore, they are not a consequence of some anticipatory preparatory actions but are committed spontaneously under the “involuntary driving” of alcoholic beverages. In this scientific endeavor, we intend to analyze the main criminogenic factor that determines the commission of violent crimes in the Republic of Moldova and also propose some measures to reduce these acts committed based on alcohol consumption.
