Summary/Abstract: An intercultural community has a high coefficient of coexistence and interaction between individuals belonging to different ethnic groups. Regarding the community of Topliţa, we refer to people of Romanian, Hungarian and Rroma ethnicity. This paper aims to outline a portrait of a community with a particular cultural profile, taking as a case study the community of Topliţa by identifying and analyzing cross-cultural features of the region and their impact on social cohesion. The paper identifies the general characteristics of the community, the lines of separation and convergence between ethnic communities. The degree of co-participation / interaction at local holidays, the economic effort, the social distance and quality of vicinities on interethnic vector are some of the research’s dimensions.
