Summary/Abstract: This study is a field study carried out in Teke region, where Yoruk Turkmen groups live. During the study, well known “Iklık” players in the region were determined, and it was aimed to reveal the production process, structural features, tuningstring-frequency values, performance repertoire and performance techniques of the instrument. First, the historical method was applied to describe the journey of this forgotten instrument from Central Asia to Anatolia and then to the Teke region. In the basis of the study, the descriptive research method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was taken. In this research, which was prepared specifically for the "Iklık" instrument, predetermined semi-structured interview questions were asked to the performers living in the Teke region: Burdur, Antalya/Zerk and Demirciler. During the fieldwork, the performance recordings of the performers were recorded in their natural environment. In this process, participant observation and mutual interview methods were used. Recordings which were recorded from performers, in the field, were examined in perspective of string instruments performance techniques. These performances were notated and thus analyzed in detail.
