Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was to examine postgraduate theses on the problems encountered in music instrument education in Turkey. 28 postgraduate theses completed between 1998-2021 were examined in terms of different variables. The sample of the research was limited to the theses, which were registered to the Turkish Higher Education Council Thesis Documentation Center and completed at the master's and doctorate level with permission to access. The trends in the postgraduate theses were described by analyzing their distribution according to the type of theses, years, universities, topics, research methods used, data collection tools and results obtained. This research is a qualitative research and document analysis was used to collect data. Frequency (f) and percentage (%) were used in the analysis of the data, and the results were shown in the relevant tables and figures. As a result of the research, it was seen that most of the postgraduate theses written on musical instrument education problems were master's theses, the most thesis was completed in 2019, and the most theses were studied at Gazi University. In addition, it has been determined that the most studied subject is technical problems experienced in music instrument education, quantitative research methods are used extensively in researches, and the data collection tools of postgraduate theses are mostly questionnaires.
