Summary/Abstract: This work introduces new craniological data into scientific circulation, and provides an expanded craniological analysis of the skull from the exposition at Dmytro Yavornytsky National Historical Museum of Dnipro. This skull was obtained during scientific and rescue excavations in 1953 at the Mesolithic necropolis Vasylivsky III in the Sinelnikivsky district of the Dnepropetrovsk region, on the third loess terrace of the left bank of the Dnipro River. The skull has been examined by using three craniological methods. The results showed that it belonged to a 29–39-year-old man. The authors argue that it belonged to one of the ancient variants of the proto-Caucasoid craniological type according to Yu. Benevolenskaya’s terminology.
