RELEVANT ASPECTS OF THE SUPPORT LOGISTICS IN THE PRESENT OF MILITARY OPERATIONS

Summary/Abstract: Logistics, from a historical point of view, was used in the military field, and later the logistics concept was taken over in the economic activity, gaining at present a special scope. Studying the specialized literature in the country, I noticed that, although it is often stated in the Romanian military thinking that logistics appeared in the doctrine of the Romanian Army after 1995, I found records attesting that the notion was used in the language and writings of Romanian officers. since 1938, being defined as having a decisive role in the conduct of the war. The concept in question has evolved over time, but has retained its essence and is now a well-founded science, situated on the border between the social sciences and the formal sciences, with specific principles and functional areas applicable for practical purposes. , especially in the military field. The article reveals theoretical and practical aspects of logistics science in current military operations.
