Summary/Abstract: With the Covid-19 pandemic Turkey stopped face-to-face education and switched to emergency distance education. In this study, the effects of the first wave of the Covid 19 pandemic on the performance of higher education students are evaluated. For this purpose, the answers of 1719 university students in the sample of Turkey were taken into account in the survey conducted with university students in 133 countries under the leadership of the University of Slovenia Ljubljana. In the study, when the students took into account the new learning environment, their opinions about the change in performance after the face-to-face lessons were canceled were measured using the ordinal logistic regression method. While there was no difference between the genders in evaluating the students' performance, it was concluded that there was a performance difference depending on the faculties attended. It has been determined that computer skills and emotional states also affect students' performances.
