Summary/Abstract: The topic of research in this work are the demonic creatures witches, more and irudice in Croatian traditional culture. Demons are creatures on the opposite side of good, right and acceptable. Witches, more and irudice are a symbol of evil, they are an instrumentality of scaring children, but also adults. The confines between these beings are often unrecognizable and fluid. We can say that irudice and the more are a subspecies of witches. We will characterize witches as vile women who act at night, have the ability to use magic, attack children, can turn into various animals and are closely associated with Satan. More are a subspecies of witches that we associate with nightmares and love troubles, while irudice we associate with stormy weather. Witches, more and irudice unite history, tradition, religion, myth and legend.
