Summary/Abstract: This article is an attempt to sum up the translations of Polish literature in the last two decades (1990-2012) in a broad cultural context, with reflections on the phenomenon of literary and cultural reception and the critical contributions of Romanian specialists, as well. The efforts of the greatest Romanian translators who made the Polish literature acquire a compelling picture in the Romanian space are especially highlighted as for both its representativeness and its value.
