Summary/Abstract: he paper presents a valuable lexicographic work, Речник на новите думи в българския език (от края на XX и първото десетилетие на XXI в.), „Наука и Изкуство“, Sofia, 2010, elaborated by three well-known Bulgarian specialists from The Institute for Bulgarian Language: Emilia Pernishka, Diana Blagoeva and Sia Kolkovska. The dictionary covers the dynamic of the lexical changes in Bulgarian language during the first 10 years of the XXI century. It includes about 5000 new words that reflect a wide range of processes which the Bulgarian society is passing through. Recent lexical borrowings, especially from English, and lexical innovations on Bulgarian ground are registered in domains, such as economy, finance, politics (with references to the European Union), technology, everyday life, Internet and social networking, leisure, sports, nutrition, fashion, well-being, culture.
