Summary/Abstract: The exponential development of online education systems has determined that the world’s great universities enlarge their offer by giving, for those who are interested, free online courses, without any restrictions regarding previous learning. The courses are only an introduction to the presented subject, offering only the basic terms. Therefore, we can consider that it has been created a new form of corporate social responsibility, but also a new form of social entrepreneurship. Corporate social responsibility is viewed as a source social progress, because of that companies allow appreciable resources and expertise for this kind of activities in benefit society, but this type of practices could be seen as a competitive advantage for those who undertake this concept. Entrepreneurs from any domain are interested to create activities which may have a positive impact on society, in this context universities from United States of America choose to open their expertise for anybody who what to learn. We want to see if this opening could be viewed as a social entrepreneurship and how can be seen in report with corporate social responsibility and which is the connection between social entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility. For this purpose we made a research among The Bucharest Academy of Economics Studies students, this way, we could find out their opinions about their openness to such forms of education. In the same time we wanted to know how does the new generation suites the greatest international universities educational offers and if the celebrity of this universities is more important than the educational offer given by Romanian universities. We also wanted to find out if the fact that these courses do not offer a national certification influence their decision or not.
