Summary/Abstract: This article recreates the Middle East tour undertaken by Izabela Dzialynska née Czartoryska and her husband Jan Dzialynski in 1862–1863. It also includes some remarks and reflections on the marital relations of the Dzialynskis, the friendship that united Izabela with her sister-in-law, Princess Maria, and her attachment to her mother. In addition, it presents iconographic material drawn by the countess herself. The text is based on archival materials, mainly in French, never previously used in historiography
