Summary/Abstract: Human beings start life with their own voice from the moment they are born. After his birth, he is greeted with great joy by his family. He recognizes his mother's voice and begins to observe his surroundings as he grows up. Communication is provided by language. There is magic and timbre of sound in every moment of your life. Throughout history, sounds have different functions such as joy, sadness, victory and death in epics, sometimes with a drum during a ritual, sometimes with shouts in wars, with cries of victory, sometimes with laments in sagu and sometimes with kopuz. The Turks, who lived a nomadic life intertwined with nature, discovered that music and sound were good or bad for the soul, and in this direction, they benefited from these tones, especially from the early Pre-Turk period. Thus, these tones, which were sent to the protective and auxiliary spirits by means of kams from the first sounds rising from the Altai mountains, were evaluated as acceptable or undesirable among the Turks in themselves. In particular, natural events such as storm, lightning, and thunder emerged as an element of fear, while shouts made to frighten the other side in war were seen as acceptable sounds. It has been evaluated that nomadic communities sing tunes that herald the arrival of spring, during daily planting and planting, in the treatment of mental illnesses, facilitate their working processes through a rhythmic melody, facilitate cooperation or cheer up their festivals. Music has always been important in the religious ceremonies, entertainments, birth and naming ceremonies of the Turks. Music has been the healing and food of the soul. While bards playing kopuz and lovers laid the foundations of Turkish Folk Music, military music began to take shape with tug sets, and religious music continued with Kams. In this study, it will be tried to evaluate which sounds have an effect on the formation and shaping of cultures in Turkish Mythologies and old Turkish beliefs.
