Summary/Abstract: The review of Maria Dębińska’s Transpłciowość w Polsce. Wytwarzanie kategorii [Transgender in Poland. Producing a category] points out to the huge demand for modern academic works concerning transgender issues, letting the audience, also not-academic, to be provided with recent writings on it. It also emphasizes the need to set language standards concerning this still often misunderstood topic, and the uniqueness of the author’s approach, which focuses on the social production of the category of transgender.
